Parenting Convention, Feb-19’
As part of YEAR OF TOLERANCE, being a torchbearer to the architects(women) of society, Ladies Forum of Pakistan Association Dubai organized 3 days long Parenting Convention. A variety of Famous Orator, Dr Kanwal Kaisser, Sister Iffat Maqbool, Sister Sajida Naheed, Dr Bushra Tasneem, Aalima Nadia Sadiq, Dr. Kahkashan Faheem and Sister Sadia Shahid delivered their splendid talks/workshops on parenthood, challenges of modern-day parenting, and woman’s role in family. Parallel Youth sessions were highly appreciated. More than 600 women got benefited from this valuable opportunity.
Energize to Illuminate: June-19’
A well-organized teacher training workshop during summer for Teachers, Mothers and high-spirited teens was conducted. With high percentage of attendees, faith elevating lectures by Islamic Scholar Nadia Sadiq showed that the students were energized enough to illuminate. Workshops were conducted on Dimensions of Knowledge, Communication skills, Focus and Attention, Creative Thinking and Thoughtful Lesson Planning gave participants practical training and skills to be a better Teacher.
Henna Design Course: July-19’
Ladies Forum Cultural team arranged a Henna design course led by Henna artist Asma Javed. The aim of the workshop was to develop the hidden art skills in women and to show their own art icons. The course was a success, especially among teenage girls for their love of Henna all year round.
Calligraphy Course: July-19’
Ladies Forum organized an Arabic Calligraphy Course, the artistic practice of handwriting, which carries a great importance in the Muslim World due to its links to the Quran. A skillful course was conducted by famous calligraphist Ms. Rubab Zahra.
Badminton Beginners Club for Women: Sep-19’
Ladies Forum started all-time favorite racquet sport, Badminton Club. Classes are held by female trainer once a week for women of all ages. The purpose of this club is to improve and perfect the playing skills of women, to get them energized in a fun and friendly indoor environment.
Living Healthy in Sunnah Way: Oct-19’
Ladies Forum organized a very enlightening event on the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) which can lead us to healthy, happy and stress-free lifestyle. Program comprised of series of lectures by the Islamic Scholar Saima Mahmood and Nutritionist Dr.Sumayia Naz of Mayas Organic World, talking on the importance of Sunnah Food, like Dates, Figs, Talbinah etc. These talks were followed by an exercise session by coach Maryam Shirinova along with free consultation with Doctors, Nutritionists, Hijama Therapists and Psychologists. Lastly there were stalls on Prophetic Medicines, Sunnah Food items, Islamic books and Organic skin care products for sale. Women footfall reached up to 400 attendees.
NATIONAL DAY-LADIES FUN GALA Nov-19’
A spectacular event to celebrate the 48th National Day of UAE was organized by PAD Ladies Forum. Inaugurated with ribbon cutting ceremony by Honorable Sheikha Farida Kamber al Awadhi Chairperson-Emirates Business Women Council and Laila al Jassmi former CEO of health policy and strategy sector at Dubai Health Authority. Lots of small home businesses and entrepreneurs participated in gala with live cooking, food, abays, dresses, heena and book stalls. The Gala was planned with a twofold mission: first to show our love with UAE by joining hands in their National Day celebrations, and second to help stabilize entrepreneurs and skilled women to display their talents and a platform to market their brands.
Eid Social: May-2020’
Social gathering and delicious food are the beauty of Eid, but due to pandemic situation we missed all of the fun. To continue this tradition of grand Eid gatherings, Ladies Forum came forward with the unique idea of E-Eid Meetup on its Official Social Media;WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram. Eid day started with video of Takbeer, followed by Eid messages from our respected Teachers, Cabinet Members and Group Incharges. Audio of famous orator Aisha Amir was shared with members through our YouTube Channel. It was indeed a great reminder that Eid is the celebration of Gratitude and Sharing. Our valuable members not only shared Eid greetings and best wishes but also shared delicious recipes and pictures of mouthwatering food with each other. Although we missed meeting each other in person but this E-Eid Meetup helped us share the Joys of Eid with everyone.
E-Eid Social by Ladies Forum-May 2021
Due to Pandemic, it had been really long since all the members and volunteers of Ladies Forum had a gathering. Therefore, this Eid Ladies Forum came up with an exclusive 3 Days Eid social program in order to interact with all members and keep up the ties with all. Eid social program – 3 days interactive session planned by Ladies Forum was conducted at the Eid ul Fitr marking the end of Ramadan 2021. Entire Eid social program was conducted on different social media platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram.
The first day was titled ‘Greet and Celebrate’ included all members and volunteers of Ladies Forum greeting each other on the occasion of Eid with beautiful words of peace and harmony. The second day of Eid titled ’Explore your Eid Culture’ was beautifully planned to learn about different Eid cultures from different parts of Pakistan and India. As Muslims it is obligatory for us to celebrate Eid therefore the purpose for this activity was to follow the Sunnah and motivate all individuals to celebrate Eid in the best ways possible. On this day all members shared their beautiful Eid related pictures of Eid Decor, Henna, Special Eid dishes cooked at home, Eid Clothes and a lot more. The third and final day was designed to entertain all the members and volunteers by having two segments. First segment was hosted by Writer’s club where several Shayri, Poems, couplets, short witty write ups were shared all related to How the Eid was spent in 2021 with the Pandemic around, some also mentioned about the crisis worldwide which has forced them to remember and pray for all those suffering.
From Me to We Nov-2020
Girls/Brides spend hours planning ON marriage, but little time planning FOR marriage. The best way to prepare for a blissful future together is by learning the tools and skills that form the foundation of a long-term relationship. To address this issue Ladies Forum-Bandhan brought about a 3-week webinar series, From Me To We, held from 5th to 19th of Nov with our prestigious guest speaker Sister Aiasha Amir who talked about Marriage Motivation, Marriage Management and Marriage Marathon, and guided unmarried and married ladies how to build and continue a long-lasting relationship with spouses and In-laws in the light of the teachings of our religion. Hundreds attended these sessions live on YouTube and while thousands had viewed them later on.
7 Habits of Highly Effective People Dec-Jan 2020/2021
In mid-December and January, Ladies Forum presented a series of unique training sessions designed to aim at concept building skills to achieve higher goals in life. It was a self-development project prepared for those who wish to fly high and conquer the mountain. This webinar series was based on the book “Seven habits of highly effective people” by Stephen Covey. The session was delivered by Dr Kanwal Kaisser. The course included 8 sessions with 2 quizzes to evaluate one’s understanding. The sessions proved to be a success as evident from the review of the attendees. The key lessons from book were explained in the light of real-life examples to make it more relatable experience for them. Moreover, the attendees really enjoyed the brainstorming session as they proved to be a really informative and life changing experience for them.
Paint Along in Acrylic: Mar-21’
Realizing the difficulties being faced by women during this pandemic we successfully launched an online course in Acrylic Painting as a first initiative by lifestyle coaching team. Our art instructor, a renowned self-taught Calligraphy artist, Ms. Rubab Zahra who started practicing in 2017 has already conducted a couple of exhibitions and workshops and was also featured on Khaleej Times for her outstanding work conducted a two days long course packed with colors, creativity and lots of art related information assisting the budding artists to enhance their skills.
